Fancher was a lawyer in Mount Pleasant (Mich.) and authored the Past and present of Isabella County, Michigan, copies of which are in the Clarke Historical Library. He married Althea M. Preston (d. 1900). Dr. Maybee was a history professor at Central Michigan University for many years. A number of his books and papers are at the Clarke. Fancher (1833-1934), educator, humanitarian, and historian of Mount Pleasant (Mich.) wrote the book, "Past and Present of Isabella County Michigan" (1911), a copy of which is in the Clarke. Webber wrote two books concerning the Flint and Pere Marquette Railway (1880 and 1890), copies of which are also in the Clarke. The company never owned a locomotive or laid track.
